- gbravop@nd.edu
Gabriel Bravo-Palacios was a member of the Robotics, Optimization and Assistive Mobility (ROAM) Lab in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame. He received his B.S. (2012) in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic National School, Quito, Ecuador, and earned his M.S. (2015) in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University. To undertake graduate studies in the United States, he received a Fullbright Foreign-Student scholarship (2013-2015) and an ASME Auxiliary's Rice Cullimore scholarship (2013-2014). His research focused on the computational design of legged robots, emphasizing the concurrent optimization of hardware and control systems. His research interests overlayed the application of design optimization and control theory to produce high-performance and energetically efficient integrated mechatronic systems.
