Research
I am a second-year Ph.D. student studying legged robot loco-manipulation as part of the lab's collaboration on the Dash Open-Source Humanoid project. I am particularly interested in using the capabilities of bipedal and humanoid robots for medical applications, such as hospital assistance. I hope to eventually expand the capabilities of legged robots even further to make them ubiquitous in daily life.
In my undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University, I was advised by Dr. Cynthia Hipwell at the INVENT Lab. While there, I studied how haptic feedback could be recreated by a robot and synchronized with video to simulate the touch experienced by a medical practitioner over long distances. This was done as part of an ongoing collaborative telemedicine project with Houston Methodist.
